Are there any picture framing courses near DT2?
I'm looking for a one day beginners course in framing for art work.
It's a present for my husband who is interested, he's pretty good at DIY
and has got some skills already, so he may be more suited to the next
stage, but could you advise. I am a painter and I tend to paint on
large deep canvases, but I also do smaller watercolours, that need
mounting and framing. We are in Derbyshire, near Ashbourne, so
somewhere fairly local would be great, but we know people in High
Wycombe, so that is possible too, thank you.
This experience is aimed at both complete beginners and at those who
already have a bit of framing experience.
In particular it is aimed at those:
- Who have limited or no previous experience of working with hand tools;
- Have some experience of mounting (and framing) pictures, but have no
experience of using the preferred / specialized tools available to
framers;
- Want to receive support in honing current skills;
- Want to use graphic art as part of home improvement or refurbishment.
They have locations in Chesterfield, Manchester and Leicester which may
be a little bit closer for you. If not, there do run in High Wycombe.
